John R. Rice was a man who loved music.
He wrote scores of gospel songs, and he was often known to burst out into song right in
the middle of preaching a sermon. This is his guitar, which he long ago was said to have
played along with his wife Lloys, an erstwhile accordianist. On the wall you can see his
collie singing partner, Flicka, and one of his pencilled compositions. |

The piano
A concert grand piano graced the living room. This piano was often surrounded by
daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family friends of all
sizes and shapes. |

The piano bench
Lloys Rice produced an exquisite needlework pattern for the cover of the piano bench. |

A granddaughter's musical memories
Faith Lamb, a granddaughter, was just one of those who found herself entranced by what
she considers the finest piano in history. |
